Still West Auckland based, proud to support local businesses and with our staff also locals, we have expanded our capabilities to include full sheet metal and light engineering facilities from our Ranui premises. John Bloemendal, Managing Director, gained his Trade and Advanced Trade Certificates in Sheet Metal Engineering back in the days before computers and fancy calculators, so you can be sure he knows his stuff. (He’s also a bit of a perfectionist, which isn’t a bad thing in this job!) He has over 30 years’ experience in the trade, including management positions with responsibilities for HR, Health & Safety, quality control, and supervision of up to 200 staff. He worked for Mercer Stainless and Alloy Yachts prior to starting his own business with his wife, Dianne. In his spare time he races his Fraser sports car and plays the saxophone.
Maria is our office Manager. With a ‘no nonsense’ administrative background and a charming accent, she keeps us all in order, makes sure everything is running smoothly, and that the customers are satisfied. Maria has been with us since 2011. Originally from Uruguay, she has been living in New Zealand for the past 12 years.
Doug, Tom, DJ and Zeph are the guys you’ll see in the workshop. Doug has many years’ experience in fabrication and associated industries, including running his own business; Tom joined us straight from school and has been with us for several years; he has an eye for detail and likes to get things right first time. Zeph and DJ mainly work with our associated business, Rampworx Ltd, which specialises in ramps and safe access solutions.
