Our customer gave us only a general brief – he had a water feature at his new home and wanted something artistic in copper to surround the two gas flames that rose above the water. John visited, took measurements and photos, and we looked for inspiration on the Internet! Eventually, a water lily and leaf idea was approved and, copying from photos, the creation process began.
Using skills learned in his apprenticeship, John shaped the veins and raised areas of the leaves and curved the petals, then heated and treated the leaves to give a burnished patina before welding to the base. The customer was very happy with the finished result, and we enjoyed drinks and nibbles together as the evening closed in and the flames highlighted the copper water lilies.
An iconic local business, supplying mussels and other seafood to a wide market, Future Cuisine utilises our services to repair and maintain their conveyors and feed chutes, as well as for custom fabrication of specialised items.
John and his team at AMW Fabrication have provided great value for money service and responded in an effective manner to our needs. We are happy to recommend their work and the experience they provided in getting solutions for our requirements.
